What is a parti sapphire?
A parti sapphire is a natural sapphire showing two or more colours in one stone — usually blue, green and gold — from natural colour zoning. Most are mined in Australia (Queensland and New South Wales), making them a locally sourced, one-of-a-kind choice for a coloured engagement ring.
What is a padparadscha sapphire?
Padparadscha is a rare pink-orange sapphire prized for its delicate salmon hue, most associated with Ceylon (Sri Lanka). Fine untreated examples are scarce, so we source them to brief with an independent laboratory report confirming colour and treatment.
Heated or unheated sapphire — what's the difference?
Most sapphires are gently heated to improve colour and clarity — a stable, widely accepted practice. Unheated (natural, untreated) sapphires are rarer and command a premium, and should carry a report stating no indications of heating. We source either, and explain where the difference is worth paying for.
Are Argyle pink diamonds a good investment?
Pink diamonds are among the rarest of all — roughly 0.01% of diamonds — and since Western Australia's Argyle mine closed in 2020, certified Argyle pinks have grown increasingly scarce. Many buyers hold them as a tangible asset. We can source Argyle-certified pinks and other fancy-colour diamonds, loose or set.
